Rachel and I went to the Blue October Concert at The Depot.. However we didn't know that there was going to be an Opening Act and low and Behold there was. The Band that opened from them was The Hours.. The leader singer looked goth, but they had a U2 sound which was way awesome. However some of their songs were screamo!!! Yikes!!! I am not a big fan of Screamo.. Rachel and I had never been to the Depot so we didn't know what to expect.. There are three floors and on the second or main floor is where they have the stage and an open floor that is for GA (General Admisson..) The third floor is all tables and chairs and balcony that you can look over and see everything.. Rachel and I wish now that we had reserved seating which is the third floor and some of the second floor, so basically we were standing the whole time... It was great for the most part.. We meet three really nice girls that we talked to for a while and we also met a couple of cute guys that were really nice.. They were drinking, thier choice of course along as it didn't spill on me. The reason why I say that is we were in a very small space and a lot of people were walking through with beer and they got really close and I could just see them spilling on me and Rachel. Yuck!!! Besides that and a really annoying couple that wouldn't stay in thier own body space that concert was way fun... Blue October was AMAZING!!! The electric violin guy really did a great job along with the bass and the drummer... Justin the lead singer I guess went to HS with a couple of guys from the band which I thought was awesome!!! He sang some songs from his Foiled album such as Hate me, Into the Ocean, and Congratulations.. I love those songs and then he sang almost all of the songs from the new album called Approaching Normal. My favorites were; Jump Rope Dirt Room, My Never and Blue Skies.. Back in August he toured with Stephenie Meyer on her Breaking Dawn Concert Series.. Blue Skies and My never were played on the tour. It was awesome to hear those songs before they were released on the album... Which I just got... My Never was written for Jacob!!! Over all the concert was great and I am glad that we went... I think next time we will get reserved seating..
