A Christ Centered Easter

By, Emily Belle Freeman

Amy's Review

Image result for Christ Centered EasterI absolutely loved this book. Emily Belle Freeman, really touches on every aspect of easter to help us believers, non believers and those whose testimony is a little bit wavering on understanding easter. She takes us through the life of christ before the ultimate sacrifice to the days after his resurrection. She gives us scriptures to study and parables that Christ taught through his ministry, and even after his resurrection.
Finally one thing that she talked about was Judas and how he betrayed Christ. Even though he did betray Christ, it was all part of the Story and plan. There was a reason why he was supposed to betray him. Instead of Judging him we need to have faith to help us understand that everything happens for a reason.
"The DIsciples on the road to Emmaus remind us that as we turn to the scriptures our hearts will burn within, we will lead to recognize the Lord, and his Spirit will abide us." - EBF
Even though this book was short in text it brings the sweet spirit of Easter and what it truly means to rejoice in Christ, and look beyond Easter Eggs and parties. I feel that if each of us following the scripture passages, parables and pray to have a testimony of easter then we all can truly rejoice in christ and come to know him just like his disciples did when he was here on the earth.
I highly recommend this book, even though it's about easter its a great book to read year round.

Sentimental Sundays

Sentimental Sundays instead of a Throwback Thursday

August 26, 2018

I usually do a throw back Thursday, but today I am doing a Sentimental Sunday.

This Started a few hours ago when my best friend Jen texted me with a photo of a cover of a collections of writings from High school. During my sophomore year my English teacher asked myself, Parker Covieo and Derek Child to co-edit a collections of writings that our class put together. During my sophomore year  of high school I was very much into writing and editing a collaborating on writing projects. The project that I co-edited on was a collection of writings from our classmates. This project was probably one of my favorite ones that I helped with. There are part of me that I wished that I went into journalism while I was in college, but I don't regret choosing teaching and helping run after-school programs for the last 12 years of my life. I feel beyond blessed that I did a little bit of journalism in high school. Thanks Jen for finding this gem and helping me feel so nostalgic.
